Carcass
by Mark Ward
the flesh filleted
from bone a meal is
made the broth abrades
its home a skinful
floats atop like scum
drain each excess sprain
your meat is a clot
cluttering your bones
swaddling their style
a skeletal pose
draped with flecks of meat
about to detach
